A Beautiful World, exhibition by Mario Testino

A Beautiful World EXHIBITION
The first exhibition of 'A Beautiful World' opened in May 2024 at Palazzo Bonaparte in Rome. Featuring over 70 large-format photographs, the show brings together work created over seven years across more than 30 countries.
The exhibition presents portraits of traditional and contemporary dress, capturing how people express identity through clothing, ceremony, and community. It marks a shift in Testino’s practice—from fashion and portraiture to an ongoing focus on culture, tradition, and heritage.
'A Beautiful World', Palazzo Bonaparte, May 25, 2024 - August 25, 2024.

ABOUT A BEAUTIFUL WORLD
In 2007, Mario Testino set out to photograph traditional Peruvian costumes in the city of Cusco, in his native Peru, and thus discovered an interest that would become his most ambitious project: A Beautiful World. Since then, the project has expanded globally, exploring how heritage is preserved and reinterpreted today. From Mongolia to Mexico, Japan to Kenya, the work reflects a curiosity for the distinct visual expressions that shape cultural identity.
A Beautiful World supports The Great Balance's mission by fostering cultural heritage understanding. Find out more about The Great Balance here.
