THE COINCIDENCE OF THE ARTS

A rare and dynamic publication, The Coincidence of the Arts was limited to 60 copies upon its release in 1998. It was published by the small Parisian publishing house, Coromandel Express, whose titles have included the work of some of the most prestigious names in contemporary photography, literature and design, including William Klein, Josef Koudelka, Mary Ellen Mark, Martin Amis, James Ellroy and Ettore Sottsass. Each of their publications match a short story with exclusive signed photographs, printed in editions limited to between 50 and 80 copies.

The Coincidence of the Arts was a collaboration between Testino and the English novelist, Martin Amis. Four silver prints and three C-type prints – each signed and dated by Testino – sit alongside a series of tri-fold sheets with text by Amis, housed in a black metal custom-designed box by Ron Arad
