Boys and Girls

The "Boys and Girls" exhibition at Charlotte Lund Gallery in Stockholm opened in 2002, marking the first time that Mario Testino’s work had been shown in Sweden. The photographs included in the show were mostly taken from the 25-page editorial that Testino had shot in Amsterdam for the October 1999 issue of L’Uomo Vogue. These are pictures that suggest freedom – the freedom to be, to love, to live as a complete individual. They condense Testino’s interest in the spontaneity and amazing force of youth. Photographs from his time in Amsterdam were also shown at Timothy Taylor Gallery in London in 1999.
