THE ENGAGING EYE OF MARIO TESTINO

THE ENGAGING EYE OF MARIO TESTINO
Holden Luntz Gallery presented The Engaging Eye of Mario Testino, an exhibition bringing together a distilled selection of photographs spanning fashion, portraiture and cultural documentation.
The exhibition offered an expansive view of Testino’s image-making across four decades, placing seminal fashion photographs in dialogue with works from his ongoing A Beautiful World series. Together, the selection revealed a practice defined by clarity of gaze, attention to presence and an instinct for atmosphere.
Works including Kate Moss, Los Angeles, Harper’s Bazaar, 1996, Carmen Kass, Los Angeles, Allure, 2009, Tokyo, 2018, Vaqueros (I), Casanare, Colombia, 2019, Ballo dei Pastori, Balestrate, Sicily, Italy, 2020 and Goura cristata, Brazil, 2022 reflected the breadth of Testino’s visual language, from fashion’s editorial imagination to cultural identity, tradition and individual expression.
Anchoring the exhibition was Sienna Miller, Rome, American Vogue, 2007, a photograph that brought one of fashion’s enduring editorial moments into conversation with Testino’s evolving cultural work.
A selection of works from the exhibition was previewed at Art Miami from 2 to 7 December 2025.
