WOMEN TO WOMEN: POSITIVELY SPEAKING

Fashion Fights Aids initiated this special publication as a project aimed at raising the awareness of the world’s women living with HIV and Aids. Published in 2004, Women to Women: Positively Speaking documents the first hand experiences of women from the UK, US and other parts of the world who are living with the virus through first person testimonies. Many of these testimonies are illustrated with portrait photographs of the women taken by Mario Testino.

The publication draws subtle comparisons of the ways in which HIV/AIDS affects women and their environment in different countries, providing a forum for women both infected and affected by the virus to speak about their lives, the issues they face and concerns they have. The publication includes an introduction by Bianca Jagger and foreword by Kenneth Cole.

Edited by Diana Thomas and Pietro Birindelli. Forewords by Kenneth Cole and Mario Testino. Introduction by Bianca Jagger. Produced and designed by R&D. 44 Pages, 18 x 23 cm. Published by Fashion Fights AIDS (December 2, 2004)
